About
My name is Allison Stepka.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been fascinated by how people connect — not just with others, but with themselves. Before I became a therapist, I spent years exploring the “why” behind stuck patterns in relationships, both personally and professionally. That journey eventually led me to Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), a model that helped me make sense of suffering in a new way — not as something to be erased or "fixed", but as a signal pointing toward what really matters.
I became a therapist to help others move through anxiety, self-doubt, and emotional pain — not by avoiding it, but by learning how to live in alignment with their deepest values. Today, in my private practice in Los Angeles, I work with individuals who are navigating life transitions, relationship struggles, OCD, or trauma. I also specialize in EMDR, offering clients a path to healing that’s both structured and deeply compassionate.
My goal is to help you build a life — and relationships — that feel authentic, grounded, and full of possibility.
